Great book, it has a very powerful, emotional and uplifting message expressed from start to finish by some very well-written writing. The advice is all very informative and practical, it can definitely be applied to anyone's life and I'm sure many people can find some relief by trying some of the exercises outlined in the book. The Bliss Experiment is definitely the best self-help related book that I have ever came across, and I have read A LOT. There are some correlations between this book and some other popular ones but for the most part most of the techniques are refreshingly new and definitely have a much more solid foundation and substance to them.

In summary, it's very good - I really think that literally anyone could take something positive from this and apply it to their own life, no matter what background they come from

i enjoyed this easy to read concise book. Sean is obviously both intelligent and experienced in his field. i look forward to putting into practice that which i have learned.

Found this to contain the best of the best regarding self-help/happiness books that I've read over the years. Very well written with practical exercises, effective exercises.
I think that this maybe the best book ever written, bar none. I have been on many paths to self improvement but none show so clearly what goes wrong with our attempts to find self fulfillment. This book talks us through each thing I have tried and why it failed. But better than that, it contains methods and exercises to go past those levels and gain the true level of bliss. It will take more than 28 days. I think that part of the title is a joke.
This book delivers what it claims to deliver. A few years ago I had an unexpected feeling of intense warmth or bliss one night as I was quietly reading a book. It was so palpable that I stopped reading and just gave my full attention to the experience. I had no idea where it came from. I had no idea why it came. I knew it felt like bliss so I started researching bliss and trying to understand why I had for a short period of time experienced this unsolicited feeling of near ecstasy. My search led me to this book, The Bliss Experiment. As I read the chapters I realized that almost every chapter was about something that was going on in my life the night I experienced the unsolicited bliss. In effect the author has taken my experience apart and shown me the components of how I had inadvertently experienced bliss. Some of the things, according to the author that set the foundation for bliss is to (1) Be in the present moment. Not thinking of the future or the past. (2) Feel and express gratitude (3) Feel Love (4) Have positive thoughts (5) minimize or eliminate negative thoughts (6) Be content. As I read The Bliss Experiment it lined up with my experience. I had been reading a real good book, I was comfortable in bed, for some reason I stopped to think how happy I was. A great book, a comfortable bed, no pressure to do anything at the moment, relaxed, grateful for this time to be able to read an awesome book, and thinking there is no place I would rather be than where I am right now. And that is when this warmth and bliss just spread through my body and soul. Now, after reading The Bliss Experiment and learning the components or foundational elements I understand what happened to me that night. If I ever want that feeling again I need to live in the present moment, with an attitude of gratitude, having more positive thoughts than negative thoughts, make a decision to forgive, be conscious of love in all its aspects whether it is nature, a good book, or a person, etc.. In conclusion, I have found this book to be a life changer. As far as I am concerned it should be considered required reading. I have already given a copy to my adult child. This is one book I will keep on my bed stand for the rest of my life. Before going to sleep each night I now go back and read one of the 28 chapters in order to keep me aware of what I need to do to allow bliss into my life. I highly recommend this book.
